For Oxford’s Approved Denim, material innovation was a key focus. Performance denim was crafted for life on two wheels. To achieve this, they used cutting-edge yarn and fibre technologies, plus new finishes and dyeing processes. After extensive testing, both in the lab and on the road, they presented Armourlite™ – crafted to be both highly durable and retain its classic look and feel. Skilled weavers and warpers were enlisted to include a polyamide fibre into the weave, a material typically used in military parachute cords. For added mobility and comfort, a two-way stretch was included along with quick-dry technology to wick away sweat and repel water.
